“Regardless of how familiar you are with the process, emotions run high.” -Tanya Bates

😍“Buying is romance, and selling is finance.”🤑

I heard this on a podcast and I love it! ❣ Such a simple way to explain the contrasting emotions you feel when buying or selling a home. It’s nothing short of amazing a meeting of minds actually happens, and properties transfer owners.

Reminds me of when we sold our home and bought a new one back in 2018. Selling was undoubtedly more about the numbers, while buying was filled with romance and anticipation for our future. We have three kids, our oldest was turning 10 at the time while our youngest was 4. It was indeed a significant a life interruption! 😮 I remember feeling quite overwhelmed, especially when we walked into our new home and found it was left an absolute mess by the sellers. The stark contrast from the immaculate condition we left our previous home in left me in tears. Regardless of how familiar you are with the process, emotions run high.

I will eventually give my thoughts on the NAR settlement. At this point, it’s more of a wait and see how the markets respond to the changes. The things you hear present day are simply speculation. 💭
